The ETIMAT 6 overcurrent circuit breaker is a proven protection element in electrical installations. Functionality and application

This single-pole (1P) circuit breaker with a rated current of 32A, characterized by characteristic D, is designed to protect circuits exposed to high surge currents, e.g. powering devices with electric motors. Characteristic D allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates the starting of such devices well. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity at 6kA at 230V and 400V guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a failure.

Installation and compatibility

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, which facilitates its installation and replacement. It accepts solid and stranded wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm², which provides flexibility in choosing wires. The possibility of connecting an insulating busbar from both the top and the bottom further increases installation convenience. Compact dimensions (1 module width, 68 mm installation depth) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The degree of protection IP20 provides basic protection against touch and ingress of solid objects.

Additional functionalities, such as the possibility of mounting auxiliary contacts (PS ETIMAT 10) and an overcurrent release (DA ETIMAT 10), allow for expanding the functionality of the circuit breaker and adapting it to the specific needs of the installation. The contact position indicator and the possibility of sealing the on/off lever increase safety of use. The circuit breaker meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 standards, which confirms its high quality and reliability.
