The ETITEC ML T123 300/12.5 2+0 RC modular surge protector is a reliable device designed to protect electrical installations from the effects of atmospheric and switching surges. Its construction based on varistors (MOV) provides effective protection, and an optical indicator signals the device's status. Installation is done on a standard DIN TH-35 mm mounting rail, which facilitates integration with existing infrastructure.

Functionality and application

This surge protector belongs to protection class Type 1+2, which means it provides protection against both direct and indirect lightning strikes. It is designed to operate in TN and TN-S network systems, offering versatile application in various types of installations. Thanks to the surge current of 12.5 kA and the specific energy of 39 kJ/Ohm, it effectively dissipates surge energy, protecting connected devices. The built-in signaling contact informs about the operation of the surge protector, enabling a quick response in the event of a surge.

Construction and installation

The device occupies 2 modules on the DIN rail, allowing for compact placement in the distribution board. The maximum conductor cross-section for connection is 35 mm² for solid conductors and 25 mm² for stranded conductors. The use of spring terminals facilitates quick and secure mounting on the TH35 rail. Additionally, the presence of a double grounding terminal increases the safety and flexibility of the installation. It is worth noting the installation depth of 70mm – important when planning space in the distribution board. The surge protector is equipped with mechanical module locks to prevent accidental removal during replacement or maintenance.
