Residual current circuit breaker - short-time delay EFI-2 A G/KV 40/0.03 002062728
Residual Current Device (RCD) EFI-2 A G/KV 40/0.03 is a reliable device designed to protect people and electrical installations from the effects of electric shock and insulation damage. Its main task is to quickly disconnect the circuit in the event of a leakage current, minimizing the risk of hazard. This is a key safety element in every building – both residential and commercial.
Application and functionality
This circuit breaker is used in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks, where the separation of the neutral and earth conductors is crucial for the proper operation of the protection system. Thanks to the A G/KV characteristic, this circuit breaker is particularly resistant to interference and works well in circuits with high differential current during the start-up of devices. This is especially important when protecting circuits with motors or other loads generating differential current surges. The rated differential current value of 30 mA provides effective protection against indirect contact, and also meets fire protection requirements.
Construction and installation
The circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a DIN rail, which ensures quick and easy installation in the distribution board. Compact dimensions (2 modules wide) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The cross-section of the connectable single-core or multi-core wire up to 25 mm² allows connection of wires of different thicknesses, adapting to the needs of a specific installation. Additionally, the protection of the terminals against contact under voltage increases safety during installation and maintenance. The circuit breaker also has a contact position indicator, which makes it easier to identify the device status (ON/OFF).
Technical parameters and compliance with standards
The device is characterized by a rated current of 40 A and a rated voltage of 400 V AC. The short-circuit strength of 10 kA guarantees its reliable operation even in the event of a short circuit in the installation. It meets the requirements of IEC/EN 61008 and ÖVE E 8601 standards, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Operation in an ambient temperature from -25°C to +55°C allows the use of the circuit breaker in various environmental conditions.
