Reliable protection of electrical circuits
Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection KZS-2M AC C20/0.03 is a comprehensive solution ensuring the safety of electrical installations and protecting against the effects of electric shock and damage caused by overloads and short circuits. The device combines the functions of an overcurrent and residual current circuit breaker, providing effective protection for both people and equipment. It is designed for use in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks where the neutral and earth conductors may be separated.
Functionality and application
The KZS-2M AC C20/0.03 circuit breaker finds application in a wide range of electrical installations – from domestic to industrial. It provides protection against electric shock in the event of direct or indirect contact with live parts, and also protects against fire caused by insulation damage. Thanks to its C characteristic, the circuit breaker copes well with impulse loads, such as starting electric motors or devices powered by transformers. The rated current of 20A and the rated residual current of 0.03A guarantee optimal protection for most standard circuits.
Design and product features
The circuit breaker is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only 2 module widths, making it easy to install in electrical switchboards with limited space. It has a protection degree of IP20, which provides protection against accidental contact. Additionally, it is equipped with a test button allowing regular checking of the residual current circuit breaker functionality and a contact position indicator, which facilitates identification of the device status (ON/OFF). The connection terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm², both solid and stranded. The possibility of sealing the switching lever increases safety and prevents unauthorized changes to the settings. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 10 kA according to EN 61009 and 15 kA according to IEC 60947-2, ensuring effective protection in the event of a short circuit.
