Staircase timer – reliable lighting control

The AS-212 staircase timer is a practical solution for automatically switching lights on and off in passageways such as stairwells, corridors or basements. The device, mounted on a standard DIN rail, provides ease of use and energy savings by automatically turning off the light after a set time. Thanks to its compact size (1 module), it is easy to install even in tight distribution boards.

Functionality and application

The AS-212 timer operates on a triggering impulse from a momentary (bell) switch. When the button is pressed, the light turns on and remains on for a time adjusted by the knob – from 0.5 to 10 minutes. After this time, the device automatically turns off the light. Re-activation is possible by pressing the button again. This is an ideal solution for places where continuous lighting is not necessary, and user comfort is a priority. Importantly, the timer works with backlit buttons, which increases its functionality and the aesthetics of the installation.

Construction features and parameters

The device is characterized by a solid construction based on a relay, which ensures reliable operation and long life. It is designed to work with a load of up to 16A at a voltage of 230V AC. The device is powered by 230V AC, and mounting on a TH35 rail is quick and easy. The timer's power consumption is low – only 0.56W – which translates to a minimal impact on energy consumption in the installation.
