Staircase timer AS-214 Un=24V, I=16A, 1 module
Staircase timer – reliable delayed lighting
This compact staircase timer, designed for mounting on a DIN rail, is intended for controlling lighting in places such as corridors, stairwells or utility rooms. Its function is to keep the light on for a set time after pressing a momentary switch (bell switch), and then automatically turn it off. This solution provides comfort and safety, as well as allows for energy savings.
Functionality and application
The AS-214 timer is an ideal choice for both installers and end users. The device keeps the light on for a time set using a built-in knob – the adjustment range is from 0.5 to 10 minutes. After this time, the light will turn off automatically, allowing it to be turned on again after pressing the switch again. Thanks to this solution, you don't have to remember to turn off the light manually, which translates into ease of use and reduced energy costs.
Constructional features and operating parameters
The timer is designed for mounting on a standard 35 mm DIN rail and occupies only 1 module (18 mm wide). The power supply is 24V AC/DC, and the maximum load current is 16A. It uses a relay as an actuator and has one NO (normally open) contact. The device is characterized by a fast response time – the delay is less than 1 second. The screw terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 2.5 mm². It is important to remember the operating temperature range of the device: from -25°C to +50°C and the degree of protection IP20.
Important notes regarding installation and use
- Supply voltage: The AS-214 timer is designed to operate with a voltage of 24V AC/DC.
- Illuminated switches: Warning! The AS-214 timer does not work with illuminated switches due to the risk of damage to the device.
- Anti-blocking: The device does not have an anti-blocking function – blocking the button will cause the light to remain on permanently.
- Maximum load current: The contact current specified in the technical data is the maximum value and may be subject to limitations. In the case of high surge currents, it is recommended to use an external contactor.
