This single-module staircase timer AS-223 is a practical device designed to control lighting in public areas such as stairwells, corridors and halls. It provides automatic light switching after a set time, which translates to energy savings and user comfort. The anti-blocking function protects against continuous lighting in the event of a switch being blocked, which is particularly important in areas prone to vandalism.

How does it work?

The timer is activated using a momentary (bell) switch. After pressing the switch, the light remains on for a time set using the knob – from 0.5 to 10 minutes. After this time, the device automatically turns off the light. Re-switching on is possible after releasing the switch and pressing it again. The anti-blocking function effectively prevents the light from being left on permanently, even if the switch is blocked (e.g. with a match).

Installation and compatibility

The device is mounted on a DIN rail, which simplifies installation and integration with the existing electrical installation. Compact dimensions – only 1 module wide – allow for efficient use of space in the distribution box. The AS-223 timer works with various types of light sources:
