Automatic Flood Prevention System – comprehensive protection against the effects of flooding
The ASP system is an autonomous solution designed to prevent flooding in residential buildings – both single-family and multi-family. Its main task is to protect property from the negative effects of water installation failures. The system monitors the humidity level in the protected rooms and, in the event of a threat, automatically cuts off the water supply. The controller also allows manual control of the valve, and its reopening is only possible after the humidity level drops to a safe level.
How does the ASP system work?
ASP is a wired system based on the cooperation of several key elements: a central controller, an solenoid valve, a humidity sensor in the boiler room, and humidity sensors in living rooms. The SAM-01 controller, located in the distribution box, controls the operation of the entire system and ensures its reliable operation even during short-term power outages thanks to backup power from the battery. When an increased humidity level is detected, the controller immediately closes the solenoid valve, cutting off the water supply.
The system has adjustable sensitivity (1÷100 kΩ) and alarm delay (10÷180 s), allowing it to be adapted to the specific conditions prevailing in a given building. An alarm output contact (1 NO/NC, max. 4 A) allows connecting additional signaling devices or integration with an alarm system. The solenoid valve operates at 12 V, and the measuring probes are powered by 5 V / 2 mA. A 12 V / 1.3 Ah battery ensures continuous operation of the system even during power outages – the battery backup time is approximately 72 hours for a new battery.
