Bistable relay, flush-mounted with timer, for backlit buttons with inrush relay 160A/20ms BIS-410-LED
Bistable relay for lighting and device control
This flush-mounted bistable relay BIS-410-LED is an ideal solution for both installers and end-users who want to have control over lighting or other devices from multiple points. It allows convenient switching on and off of circuits using parallel-connected control buttons, and an additional timer increases functionality and comfort. The relay is particularly recommended for use with backlit buttons.
Functionality and application
The BIS-410-LED relay is designed for mounting in a flush-mounted box with a diameter of 60 mm. Its main function is to enable control of lighting or other electrical devices from multiple locations. A short press of the button turns on the receiver, and another press or the elapse of the set time (1-15 minutes) – turns it off. A long press (minimum 2 seconds) locks the contact in the on position, which is useful in situations where we want to be sure that the device remains on. Thanks to this solution, it is easy to create an intelligent lighting control system in a home or office.
The BIS-410-LED relay is also available in an "i" version (BIS-410-LED), which has been specially adapted for cooperation with receivers generating large inrush currents during start-up – such as LED lamps, ESL compact fluorescent lamps, electronic transformers or discharge lamps. The built-in "inrush" type relay with a capacity of 160A/20ms ensures reliable operation even with demanding loads.
Technical characteristics and installation
The relay operates at 230V AC and has one NO (normally open) switching contact. The maximum AC-1 load current is 16A, and the maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs is 3000W, and for fluorescent lamps – 1500VA. The device is powered in the voltage range of 165-265V AC at a frequency of 50Hz. Connection to the electrical installation is made using screw terminals with a cross-section of 2.5 mm². Installation is simple and intuitive – just place the relay in a flush-mounted box with a diameter of 60 mm. Remember to take appropriate safety precautions when working with the electrical installation.
