Bistable relay BIS-411-LED is a practical solution for controlling lighting or other devices from multiple points, without the need for traditional stairwell switches. It allows you to turn the circuit on and off using momentary (bell) buttons connected in parallel. This is an ideal solution for both installers and end-users looking for a convenient and modern way to manage lighting.

Functionality and application

The BIS-411-LED relay is particularly useful in situations where you need to control lighting from several locations, e.g. in a corridor, on stairs or in a large room. Thanks to its design, it allows for easy integration with existing electrical installations and offers great flexibility in configuration. The "LED" version is specifically designed to work with receivers with high inrush current, such as LED fluorescent lamps, ESL fluorescent lamps, electronic transformers or discharge lamps – ensuring reliable operation even with demanding loads.

Construction and mounting

The BIS-411-LED relay is mounted on a standard 35 mm DIN rail, which facilitates its installation in a distribution box. Compact dimensions (1 module – 18 mm wide) allow for efficient use of space. The device has screw terminals 2.5 mm² providing safe and durable wire connections. Status indication by LEDs (green – power supply, red – activation) facilitates diagnostics and control. The relay does not have a state memory function after a power failure – after the power is switched on again, the contact returns to the off state, which increases safety.

The supply voltage is from 100 to 265 V AC. The maximum switching current (at cos φ = 0.6) is 16 A, and the rated switching current is 16 A (at 120 A/20 ms). The maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs is 3000 W, and for fluorescent lamps – 750 VA. The relay is mounted on a DIN rail and occupies 1 module (18 mm wide). It has one NO switching contact.

It is worth remembering that connecting a large number of illuminated buttons may cause the lighting to switch on spontaneously or remain permanently on – check the total current draw of the control buttons. In case of doubt or the need to switch higher surge currents, it is recommended to use an external contactor adapted for this purpose.
