This detector combines the functions of carbon monoxide (CO) and methane (CH4) detection, providing comprehensive protection against hazards associated with these gases. The device is designed for indoor installation and monitoring of air in closed rooms, reacting to the presence of harmful substances that may be difficult for humans to detect.

The CTLG-08-R detector features RF 433 MHz wireless communication. This means that in the event of a hazard detection, the alarm is transmitted to all connected detectors within a range of up to 100 meters in open space. The alarm signal is first generated locally on the sensor that detected the problem, and then spread to other devices – this is an automatic notification of danger throughout the building. The radio connection works immediately after startup and does not require any configuration.

The device signals an alarm both visually and audibly, emitting a sound with an intensity of at least 85 dB measured at a distance of 3 meters. Power is supplied by a standard 100÷240 V AC network, and in the event of a power failure, the detector switches to battery power (type 18650).

Construction Features and Functionality

The detector has been designed with reliability and durability in mind. It has compliance certificates with EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021-01 and EN 50194-1:2009 standards, confirming its safety and quality. The housing prevents unauthorized interference with the device's operation. Additionally, the detector is equipped with a self-test system that informs about potential problems with its operation.

The sensor's lifespan is estimated at 5 years. Alarm indications for carbon monoxide vary depending on the concentration:

• 30 ppm – alarm after 120 minutes
• 50 ppm – alarm after 60-90 minutes
• 100 ppm – alarm after 10-40 minutes
• 300 ppm – immediate alarm (within 3 minutes)

For methane, the device reacts to a concentration above 8.0% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit), which corresponds to 4000 ppm. The detector operates in a temperature range from -10°C to 40°C and tolerates humidity up to 95% (without condensation). Its compact dimensions (136×82×39 mm) facilitate installation in various locations. Power consumption is only 5W. The device operates at atmospheric pressure from 860 to 1060 hPa and the transmitter power is max 14.96 dBm.
