Safety in Your Home – Smart Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector

This 2-in-1 detector is a comprehensive solution for ensuring safety in your home. The device continuously monitors the level of carbon monoxide (CO) and methane (CH4) in the air, alerting you to potential hazards. Thanks to integration with the Tuya Smart mobile app, you have full control and notifications about the air quality, even when you are away from home.

Functionality and Application

The detector is designed for indoor mounting and operates in the voltage range of 100-240V AC. In the event of detecting a dangerous concentration of gases, it activates both an acoustic signal (with a volume of at least 85 dB) and a visual alarm. This signaling is designed to immediately inform users of the hazard. The device is powered by the mains, and in the event of a power failure, it maintains operation thanks to a built-in 3.6V (type 18650) battery, ensuring continuous monitoring.

The detector is designed to operate at temperatures from -10°C to 40°C and with a relative humidity of up to 95% (without condensation). Its compact dimensions (136 x 82 x 39 mm) allow for discreet installation in any room.

Technology and Certificates

The device meets the stringent safety standards EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021-01 and EN 50194-1:2009, confirming its reliability and effectiveness. It has an SGS certificate and has been tested in Poland. Wi-Fi communication enables remote access to data and device configuration using the Tuya Smart app.

Important: The detector is designed to detect natural gas (methane CH4) and carbon monoxide (CO). It does not detect LPG gas (propane-butane).

Reaction to Detected Hazards

The detector is designed to react to the presence of carbon monoxide and methane as follows: at a carbon monoxide concentration of 30 ppm, the alarm is triggered after 120 minutes, at 50 ppm the alarm occurs after 60-90 minutes, at 100 ppm the alarm activates after 10-40 minutes, and at a concentration of 300 ppm the alarm is immediate – it activates within 0-3 minutes. The methane alarm is triggered when the threshold of 8.0% LEL (4000 ppm) is exceeded.

The detector's lifespan is 5 years, ensuring long-term and trouble-free use. The operating atmospheric pressure of the device is in the range of 860-1060 hPa. Power consumption is only 5W, which translates to low energy consumption.
