Carbon monoxide and gas sensor with relay CTLG-08-P

Safety in Your Home – F&F CTLG-08-P Multi-Gas Detector

This detector combines the functions of carbon monoxide (CO) and natural gas (methane) detection, providing comprehensive protection against hazards associated with these gases. The device is particularly useful in rooms with heating appliances, ventilated areas, or those using gas as fuel. Thanks to the built-in relay output, the detector can be integrated with home automation or alarm systems, allowing for automatic gas shut-off or ventilation activation in case of a hazard.

Functionality and Application

The CTLG-08-P detector monitors the concentration of carbon monoxide and methane in the air, alerting you when permissible levels are exceeded. Carbon monoxide, an odorless and invisible gas, is produced during incomplete fuel combustion and poses a serious threat to health and even life. Methane, on the other hand, is the main component of natural gas and, when combined with air, forms an explosive mixture. The device signals an alarm both audibly (at least 85 dB) and visually, providing a quick warning of a potential hazard. The relay output allows connection to external alarm systems or automatic gas shut-off, increasing the level of safety.

Technical Specifications and Design Features

The detector operates in a power supply range of 100÷240 V AC and has a built-in 3.6 V (type 18650) battery to ensure power backup in the event of a power outage. It is designed for indoor mounting and is characterized by compact dimensions – 136×82×39 mm. The device meets the requirements of EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021-01 and EN 50194-1:2009, confirming its compliance with European safety standards. The detector's lifespan is up to 5 years.

In the event of carbon monoxide detection, the alarm is triggered at the following concentrations: 30 ppm alarms after 120 minutes, 50 ppm after 60-90 minutes, 100 ppm after 10-40 minutes, and 300 ppm almost immediately – within 0-3 minutes. The methane alarm is triggered at a concentration above 8.0% LEL (corresponding to 4000 ppm).

The detector is designed to operate at temperatures from -10°C to 40°C and with a relative humidity of up to 95% (without condensation). Atmospheric pressure should be within the range of 860-1060 hPa. The device's power consumption is only 5 W.
