Input/Output Module for Intelligent Building Control

This module, mH-IO32, is a fundamental element of the F&Home system, enabling comprehensive control of lighting and other loads in a building. Equipped with 32 binary inputs and 32 outputs, it allows for flexible management of devices operating on an on/off basis. Installation is done in a distribution board, where the module occupies 6 modules, and the power supply is 24V DC.

Operating principle and system integration

Buttons located in various points of the building are connected to the module inputs using UTP cables. Control is performed using relay output modules (e.g., mH-R8x8 or mH-R2x16) over a 24V low-voltage line – guaranteeing safety and freedom in arranging control buttons. Communication with touch panels is via the CAN bus, enabling remote triggering of module outputs from the user interface or programmed scenes. Additionally, four dedicated inputs work with mH-LH4 dimming modules, allowing smooth adjustment of light intensity.

Expansion and level of advancement

If it is necessary to increase the number of inputs/outputs, several IO modules can be used, but it is important to choose the appropriate level (mH-IO32 level 1, mH-IO32 level 2, etc.). Each level has separate numbering, which simplifies installation and configuration. The module is compatible with the mH-Developer central unit and F&Home touch panels.

Safety and reliability

The use of 24V in the control circuit ensures a high level of safety. The module has an IP20 protection rating, which means protection against touching with fingers and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Thanks to this, it can be used in most standard installation conditions.
