Temperature controller RT-823 – precise control of thermal comfort

This temperature controller, supplied with a probe, is a reliable solution for controlling heating and ventilation devices. It allows maintaining a constant, set temperature in the room, which translates to user comfort and optimized energy consumption. Designed for mounting on a 35mm rail, it occupies only 2 modules of space in the distribution board.

Functionality and application

The RT-823 controller is ideal for applications where precise temperature control is required in the range of 60°C to 95°C. It will work well in both heating installations and ventilation systems, providing optimal conditions in residential, commercial or industrial premises. Thanks to a 1P contact with a rated current of 16A, the controller can be used to control various heat consumers.

The device operates by comparing the measured temperature with the set value. Until the set temperature is reached, the relay contact is closed (position 2-1), which turns on the heating device. Once the set value is reached, the contact switches (position 2-8) and heating is turned off or ventilation is turned on. The built-in hysteresis (adjustable in the range of 0.5÷3°C) prevents frequent switching on and off of the device, which extends its life and ensures stable system operation.

Construction features and parameters

The device is characterized by a digital operating mode and has one control channel. The power supply is 230V AC at a frequency of 50Hz. The RT2 probe uses a KTY 81-210 sensor with a measuring range of -50÷130°C and a metal protective sleeve. The probe cable is made of heat-resistant SIHF 2×0.5mm² material with a length of 2.5m. The operating status is indicated by LEDs – green indicates power supply, and red indicates the device's operating status. The IP20 protection class provides protection against touching with fingers and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The controller has screw terminals allowing connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 2.5mm².
