Functionality and application

The BIS-411M-LED relay is an electronic switch that allows you to control lighting or other devices from multiple locations. Its design based on pulse operation allows you to turn the circuit on or off via a short control signal. The version with the "M" designation (as in this model) provides additional functionality – contact position memory. This means that after a power failure, the relay returns to the state it was in before the power was turned off. This is particularly useful in applications where maintaining the set configuration is important. This solution makes it easy to abandon complex stair or cross connection systems.

This relay is particularly recommended for use with receivers with high inrush current, such as LED fluorescent lamps, ESL fluorescent lamps, electronic transformers or discharge lamps. The built-in inrush relay with a value of 160A/20ms ensures safe start-up of such devices without the risk of damaging the relay.

Technical characteristics and mounting

The BIS-411M-LED relay is mounted on a standard DIN rail with a width of 1 module (70 mm mounting depth). It has one normally open contact and one normally closed contact. The control voltage is 230V AC at a frequency of 50Hz. The maximum switching current (at cos φ = 0.6) is 16A, and the maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs is as much as 3600W. The rated switching current is 0.005A. The relay does not have manual operation – control is carried out exclusively using impulses from external momentary (bell) switches. The ability to cooperate with backlit buttons makes operation easier even in low light conditions – however, it is important to limit the backlight current to 5mA in order to avoid disrupting the operation of the relay.
