Voltage relay – power protection and control

This is a single-phase voltage relay CP-710, designed to monitor voltage in single-phase networks and protect connected receivers from the effects of its fluctuations. The device effectively protects against both too high and too low voltage, ensuring stable operation of devices. This is particularly important in places where the power supply quality is unstable or exposed to interference.

This relay has a time lock, which means that after detecting a voltage problem, the relay contact remains in the off position for a certain time (maximum 1.5 seconds), even if the voltage returns to normal. This prevents frequent and unwanted on/off switching of the connected receiver, which can lead to its damage or shortened lifespan.

Functions and application

The device finds application everywhere where protection against voltage fluctuations is required – both in home and industrial installations. Thanks to the possibility of setting the lower (U1) and upper (U2) voltage threshold using potentiometers, you can precisely adjust the operating range of the relay to the specific needs of a given receiver. LED signaling informs about the correct voltage status (yellow LED) and about exceeding the lower (red LED U1) or upper (red LED U2) thresholds.

The CP-710 relay can be powered by a voltage of up to 450 V~, which makes it a universal solution for various types of installations. Additionally, it is protected against power supply polarity reversal, which increases its reliability and safety of use.

Construction features and mounting

• Dimensions: width 17 mm, height 90 mm, depth 65 mm – compact design allows for easy mounting in tight spaces.
• Type of electrical connection: screw connection – ensures reliable and durable connection of wires.
• Number of switching contacts: 1 – allows controlling one circuit or device.
• Setting range of the operating voltage: 150…260 V – wide adjustment range allows adapting the relay to different applications.
• Voltage measurement range: 150…210 V and 230…260 V - possibility of monitoring different voltage ranges.
• Hysteresis function: available for the 1-phase phase - ensures stable operation of the relay and prevents contact oscillation with small voltage fluctuations.
• Time lock: the maximum time delay in case of power failure is 1.5 s - prevents frequent switching on/off of the receiver during momentary power interruptions.

The relay is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail (rail is not included in the set). Its simple construction and intuitive operation make it easy to install and configure for both professional installers and end users.
