Switching power supply – reliable power supply for automation and electronics
This ZI-12 switching power supply is a versatile device designed to power various electrical and electronic devices. It will work well both in industrial automation systems and in computer networks. Its compact size and the possibility of mounting on a 35mm rail facilitate installation, and high efficiency ensures a stable output voltage.
Versatility and flexibility
ZI-12 is distinguished by a wide input voltage range – from 10 to 28V AC – which allows it to be used in various installations. It offers several output voltages (5V, 12V, 18V, 24V DC), which increases its usefulness and allows it to be adapted to specific needs. The maximum output current is 3A, which provides sufficient power for most applications. The device is designed to operate at temperatures from -10°C to +40°C, which guarantees reliability even in difficult conditions.
Design and user features
The ZI-12 power supply has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. Mounting on a 35mm rail and the use of screw terminals with a cross-section of 4.0 mm² ensure quick and secure connections. The compact housing, 78mm wide, takes up little space. The IP20 protection class protects against accidental contact, but does not protect against water ingress. An important feature is the lack of galvanic isolation between input and output – this should be taken into account when designing installations. The device operates at a switching frequency of 52 kHz.
Additionally, thanks to the current limitation at 110% of the output current, the power supply protects connected devices from overload. The ability to work with minimal load (0%) is particularly useful in applications with variable power consumption. It is worth remembering that if the maximum load is exceeded (Imax), the output voltage may decrease, and the device may generate noise at approximately 1.5 kHz – in such situations, it is recommended to use an additional LC filter (choke coil compensated with inductance 2x5-15mH and capacitor C=0.33-1µF).
