This hermetic motion sensor combines the functionality of a motion and presence detector, providing convenience and energy savings. It is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, where reliable detection and resistance to atmospheric conditions are required. Ceiling mounting and a wide 360° detection angle guarantee comprehensive space monitoring.

Functionality and application

The sensor is designed for automatic lighting control in places such as corridors, yards, approaches, driveways or garages. Thanks to the presence sensor function, the light remains on as long as someone is within the detection range – which is particularly useful in rooms used sporadically. The high IP65 protection class protects against moisture and dust, allowing installation in difficult conditions.

Technical specifications and installation

The sensor has been designed for easy surface mounting. Connection terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 1.5 mm², and the tightening torque is 0.3 Nm. Operation in the temperature range from -20°C to +40°C ensures reliability even in extreme weather conditions. Power consumption is only 0.5 W, which translates to low energy consumption.

The sensor operates at 230 V AC and allows a maximum current load of 10 A. Motion detection takes place at a speed of 0.6 to 1.5 m/s, and the maximum detection radius is up to 10 meters (at a mounting height of 2.5 m and a temperature below 24°C). The mounting height should be between 2.0 and 6.0 meters. The dimensions of the device are 102 x 102 mm with a height of 55 mm. The connection is made using terminals with a cross-section of up to 1.5 mm², tightening them with a torque of 0.3 Nm.

Please remember that the effectiveness of the PIR sensor may be limited by heat or light sources in the detection field and by the ambient temperature close to the temperature of the detected object.
