Inclined mesh filter with magnet – protection of the installation and efficiency
An inclined filter with a magnet is a reliable solution for protecting central heating, air conditioning, and renewable heat source systems. Its design, based on a combination of a mesh filter and a strong neodymium magnet, effectively removes both mechanical and magnetic contaminants (magnetite) formed as a result of corrosion. This translates to a longer lifespan of installation components, especially circulation pumps, and maintaining high energy efficiency.
The filter has a 1 inch (G1) union connection, which facilitates assembly and disassembly if necessary. Made of CW617N-4MS brass with reduced nickel and lead content, it guarantees safety for health and compliance with standards regarding contact with drinking water. Stainless steel AISI304 used to make the filter cartridge ensures durability and corrosion resistance.
Construction features and application
The filter design allows for installation even in places with limited space. The magnetic cartridge with a force of 6000-9500 GS effectively captures magnetic particles, and the mesh filter with a mesh size of 0.36 mm² stops larger contaminants. This ensures that water or water-glycol solution (up to 50%) flowing through the filter is effectively cleaned. The filter is designed to operate at a nominal pressure of 16 bar (PN16) and a maximum temperature of 100°C.
- Protection against corrosion: The neodymium magnet removes magnetite – a corrosion product of steel that settles in the installation and causes damage.
- Extended pump life: Clean water reduces the load on the circulation pump, preventing failures and performance degradation.
- Easy cleaning: The filter can be easily disassembled and cleaned of accumulated contaminants – simply unscrew the plug, remove the magnetic cartridge and rinse the filter under running water. Cleaning is recommended at least once a year before the heating season.
- Material safety: CW617N-4MS brass is a material safe for health and meets standards regarding contact with drinking water (NICKEL FREE).
- Versatility: The possibility of using it with water and water-glycol solutions (up to 50%) makes it an ideal solution for various types of installations.
