Diaphragm expansion vessel for DHW and booster systems
This is an Airfix-A diaphragm vessel with a capacity of 35 liters, designed for use in domestic hot water systems and booster systems. The construction provides reliable cushioning of hydraulic shocks and maintains stable pressure in the installation. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
Construction and operation
The Airfix-A vessel is a flow-through solution – the entire water stream flows through its interior, preventing stagnation and bacterial growth. The internal coating protects against corrosion, and the butyl rubber (IIR) membrane does not affect the taste, smell or color of the water. Additionally, filling with nitrogen helps maintain optimal pre-pressure for longer. A R3/4" threaded connection facilitates integration with the existing installation.
Application and benefits
- Installation protection: Protects the circuit against overload and short circuit - like most circuit breakers in this class. Cushions hydraulic shocks, protecting pipes and equipment from damage.
- Hygiene: Synthetic flow element minimizes the risk of bacterial growth inside the vessel, ensuring clean water.
- Durability: Internal and external corrosion protection coating extends the life of the vessel, even in harsh operating conditions.
- Compatibility: Can be used with various types of water heaters and in booster systems, increasing the product's versatility.
- Ease of servicing (optional): The ability to equip with the AirfixControl module facilitates the removal of the vessel without the need to drain the entire installation, shortening maintenance and repair time.
- Safety: PZH hygiene certificate confirms the safety of use with drinking water.
Technical specifications
The vessel is adapted to work at a temperature from 1°C to 70°C and a maximum working pressure of 8 bar at a pre-pressure of 4 bar. It can be used with glycol mixtures with a concentration of up to 50%. The height of the vessel is 416 mm, and the diameter is 365 mm. The housing color is RAL 9010 (white). Vertical mounting is standard for this model, although it can also be mounted in other configurations (the specifics of the installation should be taken into account).
