Functional control of air curtains

Ventilation and heating systems require a precise response to environmental changes, and opening a door in a warehouse or a shop is a critical moment for the thermal balance. The DCeT magnetic door sensor, along with a relay box, is a solution that automatically informs ELiS T series air curtains about the opening status. When the door opens, the sensor transmits a signal, allowing for the immediate shutdown of the heater or fan. This prevents energy waste on heating the street and ensures the stability of parameters inside the facility.

The device has been designed for easy integration with the basic automation of the curtains. Signal transmission occurs at the moment of magnet contact or separation, which is a simple yet reliable mechanism. The relay box increases control capabilities, allowing for the handling of inductive loads up to 4 A and resistive loads up to 5 A at 230 V AC. This is crucial for installers who need to connect the sensor directly to control circuits without the need for additional intermediate relays.

Application and operating conditions

The sensor finds its primary application in commercial facilities, warehouses, and industrial halls, where large glazed areas or gates are frequently opened. Its compact plastic dimensions allow for installation on practically any type of door – from standard entrances to industrial sliding systems. The IP65 protection rating makes the device resistant to dust and water jets, allowing for safe installation even in more difficult environmental conditions.

The device can operate in a wide temperature range, from -5°C to 60°C, covering the needs of most commercial and production buildings. The connection cable length is 2 meters, providing the installer with sufficient freedom when positioning the sensor relative to the control box. It is worth noting the specifics of installation on sliding doors – a distance between the magnets of approximately 8-12 mm must be maintained to ensure the correct operation of the NO (Normally Open) contacts. The maximum contact/separation distance is 8 mm, which is a standard value for this type of limit accessory.

Key design and installation features

Thanks to the use of NO contacts and a relay box, the system operates in a manner consistent with the operating logic of ELiS T curtains. The plastic-based construction not only reduces the weight of the entire set (specified at approximately 0.3 kg for the sensor itself) but also provides resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage typical of industrial environments. Installation is simplified thanks to ready-to-use wires and an intuitive method of connecting the control signal.

The device's technical parameters include an operating temperature range from -5°C to 60°C and an IP65 protection rating, guaranteeing durability in harsh conditions. The housing is made of plastic and equipped with a 2 m cable. The NO (Normally Open) contact system supports resistive current up to 5 A and inductive current up to 4 A at 230 V AC. The maximum detection distance for contact or separation is 8 mm, and the mass of the sensor itself is approximately 0.3 kg.

In the case of parallel mounting of the sensor and magnet on sliding doors, it is crucial to maintain an appropriate distance (8-12 mm) to avoid errors in detecting the open state.
