Advanced solution for large sewage diameters

The VPC XXL DN1570-1620MM flexible coupling is a professional component for connecting sewage pipes with large external diameters from 1570mm to 1620mm. The product belongs to the VPC XXL series, specifically designed for nominal diameters from 1000mm to 2800mm, enabling the secure connection of pipes made of various materials - from cast iron and stoneware to modern glass-fiber reinforced plastics.

High-quality construction and materials

The system consists of three main components: an adjustable sealing collar made of elastomeric rubber, a centrally self-aligning plastic centering basket, and two stainless steel clamping bands. The sealing gasket is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) according to the PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 standard, ensuring reliable sealing in accordance with PN-EN 1610.

The centering basket is made of a high-impact and crack-resistant plastic, resistant to both low and high temperatures. Its tapered middle section and the band guide grooves located on both sides guarantee centric and stepless diameter adjustment with a cylindrical alignment of the connected materials.

Versatility of connections and advanced operating parameters

The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to 50mm while maintaining a uniform reduction process around the entire circumference. The articulated middle section allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling, eliminating the risk of the rubber sliding or wrinkling when adjusting different external diameters.

The plastic protective profile ensures the dimensional stability of the element and prevents the coupling from collapsing or buckling during installation. The multiple sealing profile with a width of up to 380mm (insertion depth of 190mm on each side) forms the basis of a professional, leak-proof, and secure pipe connection.

Regulatory compliance and operating conditions

The product has DIBt Z-42.5-450 approval for nominal diameters from DN100 to DN2000 and tightness confirmed by testing up to an internal pressure of 2.5 bar (MPA certificate for all diameters). The coupling is resistant to oils and gasoline and is particularly resistant to aggressive substances found in sewage and soil.

The oil-resistant version is made of V4A steel (material number 1.4404), which belongs to grades that are particularly resistant to corrosion and acids. The material also maintains resistance to the influence of saline seawater, which expands the range of possible applications to marine or coastal installations.

The hybrid tensioning system allows for installation by a single person with a torque of 25Nm - this operation should be checked with a torque wrench to ensure correct tensioning of the clamping rings.
