VPC XXL Flexible Coupling DN2070-2120MM

The VPC XXL DN2070-2120MM flexible coupling is an advanced solution for connecting large-diameter sewage pipes with external diameters ranging from 2070 to 2120mm. The product enables a secure and leak-proof connection of pipes made from various materials - cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, vitrified clay, concrete, and glass-fiber reinforced plastics.

Construction and materials ensuring reliability

The design is based on three main elements: an adjustable sealing sleeve made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 or NBR in an oil and gasoline-resistant version, a centrally self-aligning positioning basket made of high-impact plastic, and two fastening bands made of V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4404) stainless steel.

The sleeve features a double sealing profile ensuring tightness in accordance with PN-EN 1610. The positioning basket is equipped with an articulated middle part that allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling. The diameter reduction process occurs uniformly around the entire circumference while maintaining the cylindrical alignment of the materials.

Versatility and material compatibility

The product effectively solves the problem of differences in external diameters of pipes with the same nominal diameter resulting from different types of construction. Maximum reduction is ≤50mm, which eliminates the need for additional compensating rings. The coupling covers a large range of diameters without the need to maintain extensive stock assortments.

The design allows for bilateral, stepless adjustment with certain shear load transfer capabilities in accordance with DIN 4060 and DIN EN 295. The large cylindrical contact surface (380mm width) guarantees a professional and leak-proof pipe connection.

Installation and operation in difficult conditions

Installation requires ensuring free access to the hybrid tensioners. The tightening torque is 25Nm and must be controlled with a torque wrench. The coupling is resistant to oils and gasoline and is particularly resistant to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil.

The product holds DIBt approval Z-42.5-450 for nominal diameters 100-2000mm and tightness confirmed by tests up to 2.5 bar water pressure. The special V4A steel version belongs to the grades particularly resistant to corrosion and acids.

VPC XXL is manufactured to order upon precise specification of the pipe external diameter. The solution is effective both for the renovation of existing pipelines and for laying new sewage installations in underground construction.
