Advanced solution for large sewage diameters

The VPC XXL DN2095-2145MM flexible coupling is a professional connection system for sewage pipes with large external diameters ranging from 2095 to 2145mm, designed specifically for demanding applications in underground infrastructure. The product enables a secure and leak-proof connection of pipes made from various materials - from traditional cast iron and stoneware to modern plastics such as PP, PE, or PVC.

System construction and components

The heart of the system is an adjustable sealing flange made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to the PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 standard, which ensures reliable sealing in accordance with PN-EN 1610. The design is based on a self-centering locating basket made of high-impact plastic, resistant to both low and high temperatures.

The system utilizes two V2A (1.4301) stainless steel clamping bands in the standard version or V4A (1.4404) in the oil-resistant version, which allow for bilateral, separate, and smooth adjustment of the connected materials. A hybrid tensioner system transfers force to the steel straps, ensuring even pressure distribution around the entire circumference of the pipe.

Operating parameters and design advantages

The VPC XXL coupling offers a maximum reduction of up to 50mm, where the diameter reduction process occurs evenly around the entire circumference thanks to a hinged middle part that allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling. A multiple double sealing profile with a width of 380mm (insertion depth of 190mm per side) forms the basis of a professional, leak-proof, and secure connection.

The system guarantees tightness up to 2.5 bar, which has been confirmed by the MPA certificate for all diameters. The alloy steel used belongs to grades that are particularly resistant to corrosion and acids - the oil-resistant version utilizes NBR rubber, which is resistant to oils, gasoline, and aggressive substances contained in sewage.

The design provides a bilateral lug for secure band guidance and a cylindrical contact surface in the sealing area with a minimum width of 60mm on each side. The locating body and sealing sleeve maintain a neutral position relative to each other, eliminating the risk of rubber folding during installation.

The system allows for stepless adjustment with secure shear load transfer, tested according to DIN 4060 and DIN EN 295. Thanks to the large contact surface, the tightening force is distributed evenly around the entire circumference of the pipe, resulting in long-term connection stability.

Before installation, the external diameter of the pipes must be accurately determined to ensure proper system fit.
