Universal solution for large diameters in sewage infrastructure

The VPC XXL DN2270-2320MM flexible coupling is an advanced solution for connecting sewage pipes with large external diameters ranging from 2270 to 2320 mm. The product enables a secure and watertight connection of pipes made from various materials - cast iron, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC-U, stoneware, concrete, and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP). The design allows for effective connection even with significantly different external diameters resulting from different pipe construction types.

Innovative design and advanced materials

The system consists of three main components: an adjustable sealing collar made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60, a centrally self-aligning locating basket made of high-impact plastic, and two V4A (1.4404) stainless steel clamping bands. The sealing cuff features a double sealing profile ensuring reliable watertightness in accordance with PN-EN 1610.

The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to a maximum of 50 mm, with the reduction process occurring uniformly around the entire circumference. The articulated middle section allows for separate reductions to be performed on each side of the coupling. The locating basket and the cuff are designed to prevent the rubber from sliding or wrinkling during diameter adjustment.

Exceptional chemical and mechanical resistance

The V4A alloy steel used belongs to grades that are particularly resistant to corrosion and acids. The coupling exhibits resistance to oils and gasoline and is particularly resistant to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil. The material remains resistant to the influence of saline seawater, which expands the range of possible applications to installations in marine environments.

The multiple double sealing profile with a width of 380 mm (insertion depth of 190 mm per side) forms the basis of a professional, watertight, and secure pipe connection. The large cylindrical contact surface (60 mm on each side) guarantees an even distribution of clamping forces around the entire circumference of the pipe.

Precise installation and versatile application

Installation requires the use of a hybrid tensioner - the tensioning of the fastening rings is performed with a torque of 25 Nm. The coupling must be positioned to allow free access to the hybrid tensioners. This operation should be verified using a torque wrench.

The product is effective in the renovation of existing sewage lines, the repair of damaged sections, and the laying of new installations. Thanks to the bilateral stepless adjustment under certain shear loads (according to DIN 4060 or DIN EN 295), it eliminates the need for additional compensation rings even with significantly different external diameters.
