VPC XXL Flexible Coupling DN2345-2395MM

The VPC XXL DN2345-2395MM flexible coupling enables the connection of pipes made from various materials - from cast iron and plastics to stoneware and concrete - even when they differ significantly in external diameters resulting from different design types.

High-quality construction and materials

The system consists of an adjustable sealing collar made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to the PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 standard, which features a multiple double sealing profile ensuring reliable tightness in accordance with PN-EN 1610. A centrically self-aligning centering basket made of high-impact and crack-resistant plastic allows for precise positioning of the connected elements.

Two V4A (1.4404) stainless steel clamping bands belong to grades that are particularly resistant to corrosion and acids. This special steel is resistant to oils and gasoline and particularly resistant to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil, as well as to the influence of saline seawater.

Advanced reduction and adaptation system

The design allows for a reduction of up to 50mm, with this process occurring uniformly around the entire circumference. The articulated middle part allows for independent reduction to be performed on each side of the coupling separately. The centering basket and the sealing cuff maintain a neutral position relative to each other - this ensures that no displacement or wrinkling of the rubber occurs during diameter adjustment.

The hybrid tensioner system transfers force to the steel bands in a controlled manner. During installation, it is necessary to ensure free access to the hybrid tensioners - the tightening of the clamping rings is performed with a torque of 25 Nm, which should be checked with a torque wrench.

Application and practical advantages

The coupling is intended for corrugated, cast iron, stoneware, and glass-fiber reinforced plastic pipes, as well as other smooth-walled pipes. The dual-sided protrusion ensures secure band guidance, and the cylindrical contact surface in the sealing area guarantees connection stability.

The product offers stepless adjustment with secure shear load transfer, tested according to DIN 4060 and DIN EN 295. The large contact surface (380mm width) and tightness confirmed by MPA institute testing up to a pressure of 2.5 bar.
