Universal solution for large diameters in sewerage
The VPCXXL2495 flexible coupling is an advanced solution for connecting sewage pipes with large external diameters from 1000 mm to 2800 mm. The product enables a secure and leak-proof connection of pipes made from various materials - cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP). The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to 50 mm while maintaining full tightness of the connection.
Advanced design and materials
The coupling consists of three main elements: an adjustable sealing collar made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to DIN EN 681-1 WC/60 or NBR in the oil-resistant version. A centrally positioning centering basket made of high-impact plastic ensures structural stability and temperature resistance. Two fastening bands made of V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4404) stainless steel in a special version allow for bilateral and separate diameter adjustment.
A multiple double sealing profile with a width of 380 mm (mounting depth of 190 mm on each side) forms the basis of a professional and leak-proof connection. A cylindrical contact surface with a minimum width of 60 mm on each side guarantees even distribution of clamping forces around the entire circumference of the pipe.
Versatility of applications and ease of installation
VPC XXL eliminates the need for additional leveling rings thanks to the possibility of stepless adjustment on both sides of the coupling while simultaneously ensuring reliable transfer of shear loads. The hybrid tensioner system allows for installation using a single tool set in one working position - the tightening torque is 25 Nm and must be controlled with a torque wrench.
The design prevents the rubber from wrinkling during diameter adjustment due to the neutral position of the basket relative to the sealing sleeve. The reduction process occurs uniformly around the entire circumference while maintaining separate adjustment on each side of the coupling.
Chemical resistance and certificates
The materials used in production provide exceptional resistance to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil. The oil-resistant version made of V4A steel is resistant to the action of oils and gasoline and is particularly resistant to the influence of saline seawater. The coupling has the DIBt Z-42.5-450 technical approval for nominal diameters 100-2000 mm and a tightness certificate according to DIN EN 1610.
