Advanced solution for large-diameter sewage installations

The VPC XXL DN2545-2595MM flexible coupling is an advanced solution for the secure connection of large-diameter sewage pipes. The product enables effective connection of pipes made from various materials - from traditional cast iron and stoneware, through modern plastics (PP, PE, PVC), to concrete and GRP composites. The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to 50 mm, while providing bilateral and stepless fitment of each side independently.

Construction system and high-quality materials

At the heart of the system is an adjustable sealing sleeve made of high-quality EPDM elastomeric rubber according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 or an NBR oil-resistant version. The sleeve features a double sealing profile, which, combined with a cylindrical contact surface with a width of 60 mm on each side, guarantees reliable sealing in accordance with PN-EN 1610 requirements.

The positioning basket, made of high-impact and crack-resistant plastic, enables the centric alignment of the connected elements. Its cone-shaped deformable middle part and the guide grooves for the straps located on both sides ensure centric and stepless diameter adjustment while maintaining the cylindrical alignment of the materials.

The fastening system is based on two V4A (1.4404) stainless steel straps, which belong to grades particularly resistant to corrosion and acids. These straps are equipped with an innovative hybrid tensioner, which enables installation without the need for additional tensioning tools.

Practical advantages and versatility of application

The VPC XXL design eliminates the need for additional leveling rings - a single coupling covers a wide range of external diameters while maintaining full functionality. The bilateral strap guide channel ensures their secure seating and even distribution of forces during tightening around the entire circumference of the pipe.

The product performs excellently both in the renovation of existing sewage lines and in the construction of new installations. It can be used to connect smooth as well as profiled/corrugated pipes - the geometry of the profiles does not affect the functioning of the sealing system.

The standard version provides tightness confirmed by tests up to 2.5 bar internal pressure (MPA certificate for all diameters). The oil-resistant version (OEL) is additionally characterized by increased resistance to aggressive substances contained in sewage and the influence of saline seawater.

Installation and technical service

The installation process has been maximally simplified thanks to the hybrid tensioner system. After placing the coupling in a way that ensures free access to the tensioning mechanisms, the tensioning of the fastening rings is performed once with a torque of 25 Nm. This action must be controlled with a torque wrench to ensure correct pressure.

The multi-seal profile with a width of 380 mm (insertion depth of 190 mm per side) forms the basis of a professional, tight, and secure pipe connection. Plastic protective profiles ensure the dimensional stability of the element and protect against collapsing or buckling during installation.

The system maintains full functionality even with significant differences in wall thickness resulting from the diversity of the pipes' construction materials.
