The VPC XXL DN2745-2795MM flexible coupling is an advanced solution designed for the professional connection of large-diameter sewerage pipes with external diameters from 2745mm to 2795mm. The product belongs to the VPC XXL series, which has been specifically developed for nominal diameters from 1000mm to 2800mm, offering a maximum reduction of up to 50mm.

High-quality construction and materials

The coupling's construction is based on three key components working together in a harmonious manner. The adjustable sealing flange made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 forms the foundation of a leak-proof connection. This material is characterized by exceptional flexibility and resistance to aging processes, guaranteeing long-term maintenance of performance parameters.

The self-centering centering cage made of high-impact plastic ensures precise positioning of elements during assembly. Its design allows for even distribution of clamping forces around the entire circumference of the pipe, eliminating the risk of point overloading of the material. The middle part of the cage deforms taperedly, and the integrated guide grooves for the bands ensure centric and stepless diameter adjustment with a cylindrical alignment of the materials.

Two stainless steel clamping bands V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4404) constitute a fastening mechanism of the highest manufacturing quality. The standard version uses V2A steel, while the special V4A steel version provides additional resistance to oils and gasoline, as well as particular resistance to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil.

Versatility of applications and material compatibility

The VPC XXL coupling has been designed as a universal connecting element for pipes made of various materials: grey cast iron (GGG), polypropylene (PP-MD), polyethylene (PE-HD), unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), stoneware (Steinzeug N/H), glass-fiber reinforced concrete (GFK), and other types of smooth-walled, corrugated, or ribbed pipes.

The double-sided boss for secure band guidance eliminates the risk of fastening elements shifting during assembly and operation. The cylindrical contact surface in the sealing area, with a minimum width of 60mm on each side, ensures a stable contact surface between the elements.

The design allows for stepless connection on both sides of the coupling with guaranteed resistance to shear forces, tested according to DIN 4060 and DIN EN 295 standards. The centering body and the sealing cuff maintain a neutral position relative to each other throughout the entire diameter adjustment process, effectively preventing the rubber from slipping or wrinkling.

Operating parameters and operational safety

The product is characterized by leak-tightness confirmed by MFPA tests up to an internal pressure of 2.5 bar, representing the highest safety standard for this type of structural solution. The multiple double sealing profile with a width of up to 380mm (insertion depth of 190mm on each side) forms the basis of a professional, leak-proof, and secure pipe connection.

The alloy steel used belongs to grades that are particularly resistant to corrosion and to the action of acids contained in the medium transported through the sewerage installation. The material is also resistant to the influence of saline seawater, which expands the range of possible coastal applications.

The diameter reduction process occurs uniformly around the entire circumference while maintaining the centric nature of the operation. The articulated middle part allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling, independent of the other side of the construction.

The product holds official DIBt Z-42.5-450 approval for nominal diameters from DN100 to DN2000, confirming its highest quality parameters and safety of use under real-world underground infrastructure operating conditions.
