Universal connector for drainage pipes – regardless of material

The Funke VPC flexible connector is a solution dedicated to connecting drainage pipes made of various materials – cast iron, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), stoneware, concrete, GRP, as well as pipes with smooth, corrugated or ribbed surfaces. Thanks to this, a single connector allows you to connect elements with different characteristics, eliminating the need to use many types of connectors.

Construction and principle of operation

The key to the universality of the VPC connector is its construction. It consists of several elements: an elastomeric sealing cuff made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber), a positioning basket made of plastic and two steel alloy straps. The cuff provides tightness confirmed by the PN-EN 1610 standard, and the positioning basket allows for centric alignment of the connected pipes. Steel straps allow for precise adjustment of the diameter on both sides, ensuring a stable and secure connection. The cuff has a double sealing profile and protrusions for proper engagement with the positioning basket. The basket is made of a durable plastic resistant to low and high temperatures, and its conical middle part and grooves for guiding the tape ensure even diameter adjustment.
