Universal connector for sewer pipes – regardless of material and diameter

The flexible Funke VPC® connector is the ideal solution for connecting sewer pipes made of various materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP, as well as smooth, corrugated and ribbed pipes. Its design allows for compensation of differences in the outer diameters of the pipes, which greatly simplifies installation and eliminates the need for additional leveling elements. This saves time and costs for both the installer and the end user.

The VPC® connector consists of an elastomeric sealing cuff, a positioning basket made of plastic and two steel alloy straps. This construction ensures not only the tightness of the connection – confirmed by a double sealing profile in accordance with PN-EN 1610 – but also its durability and resistance to loads. The cuff made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber) meets the requirements of PN-EN 681-1 WC/60.

Construction and installation – simplicity and reliability

The key to the effective operation of the connector is its well-thought-out design. The positioning basket made of durable plastic centers the connected elements and allows for smooth diameter adjustment. Steel alloy straps ensure even pressure of the sealing cuff onto pipes of different outer diameters. Thanks to this, the installation process is quick, easy and does not require specialized tools (although a dedicated mounting kit is available). In addition, the unique design prevents the rubber from folding during diameter adjustment.

The VPC® connector is available in various ranges of outer diameters. Model VPC290_0000 is designed for pipes with a nominal diameter of DN/OD 240-290mm. Versions resistant to oil exposure are made of V4A (1.4404) stainless steel, which guarantees their reliability in harsh environmental conditions – including contact with aggressive substances contained in wastewater or soil and seawater.
