The VPC Funke flexible joint is a solution dedicated to connecting sewer pipes of the same nominal diameter, made of different materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP and others. Thanks to this, it allows for efficient and reliable connections even in the case of differences in outer diameters resulting from the type of pipes used.

The joint consists of an elastomeric sealing sleeve, a positioning basket made of plastic and two straps made of alloy steel. This construction enables bilateral, separate and smooth adjustment of the pipe diameter. The sealing sleeve is made of EPDM rubber (compliant with PN-EN 681-1 WC/60) and has a double sealing profile, guaranteeing reliability according to PN-EN 1610. Projections on the circumference of the sleeve ensure proper engagement with the positioning basket.

The positioning basket is characterized by high impact resistance and resistance to cracking over a wide temperature range. Its conical middle part and grooves for guiding the tape allow for centric and stepless adjustment of the pipe diameter. Thanks to this, the diameter reduction process takes place evenly around the entire circumference, and the articulated middle part allows for independent adjustment on each side of the joint. The design prevents the rubber from slipping or folding during diameter adjustment. The fastening straps made of alloy steel ensure a stable and secure connection, adapting the sleeve to different outer pipe diameters.
