The Funke VPC flexible connector is a reliable solution for connecting drainage pipes made of different materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP, as well as smooth, corrugated and ribbed pipes. Its design allows connecting elements with different outer diameters, eliminating the need for additional adapters in many cases. This saves time and costs during installation.

Construction and operating principle

The key to the connector's versatility is its three-layer construction: an elastomer sealing cuff, a plastic positioning basket and two alloy steel straps. The cuff made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber) ensures tightness confirmed by the PN-EN 1610 and PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 standards thanks to the double sealing profile. The positioning basket stabilizes the connection and enables centric fitting of the connected pipes. The alloy steel straps allow for precise and even adjustment of the diameter on both sides of the connector. Thanks to this, the diameter reduction process takes place smoothly around the entire circumference, without the risk of wrinkling the rubber.
