Flexible connection of various drainage materials

The Funke VPC® flexible connector is a reliable solution for connecting drainage pipes made of different materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP, as well as smooth, corrugated and ribbed pipes. Its design allows the connection of elements with different outer diameters, eliminating the need for additional adapters. This is particularly useful during repairs and modernization of existing installations.

The connector consists of an elastomeric sealing sleeve, a positioning basket made of plastic and two steel alloy straps. The sleeve made of EPDM (ethylene propylene rubber) provides tightness confirmed by the PN-EN 1610 standard, and its double sealing profile guarantees reliability. The positioning basket made of durable plastic centers the connected elements and allows smooth diameter adjustment. Steel alloy straps ensure even fit and secure fastening.

Design and assembly

The VPC® connector is characterized by a well-thought-out design that facilitates assembly. The positioning basket with a deforming middle part and grooves for guiding the strap ensures centric adjustment of the pipe diameter. The sealing sleeve and basket are designed to prevent it from shifting or folding during tightening of the straps. The oil-resistant version has elements made of V4A (1.4404) stainless steel, which provides resistance to oils, gasoline and aggressive chemicals contained in wastewater and soil – an ideal solution for industrial facilities or exposed to specific operating conditions.
