Universal connector for drainage pipes – regardless of material and diameter

The Funke VPC flexible connector is designed for connecting drainage pipes made of various materials – cast iron, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), stoneware, concrete, GRP, and other pipes with smooth, corrugated or ribbed surfaces. Its construction allows connecting elements with different outer diameters, eliminating the need for additional adapters in many cases.

Construction and principle of operation

The connector consists of several key elements: an elastomeric sealing cuff made of EPDM (according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60), a positioning cage made of durable plastic, and two steel alloy straps. The cuff has a double sealing profile, ensuring a reliable connection according to PN-EN 1610. The positioning cage centers the connected elements, and the straps allow precise diameter adjustment from both sides. This ensures that the diameter reduction process takes place evenly around the entire circumference, without the risk of folding the rubber.

The oil-resistant version of the VPC connector is characterized by elements made of V4A stainless steel (1.4404), which ensures resistance to oils, gasoline and aggressive chemicals present in wastewater and soil. This material is also resistant to corrosion and the action of salt water.
