The magnesium anode with a diameter of 33 mm and a length of 250 mm is a key element in protecting against corrosion in domestic hot water systems. Its task is to protect the metal elements of the tank through the cathodic protection process – the anode "takes over" the corrosion, extending the life of the entire system. Made of high-quality magnesium, it provides effective protection against scale build-up and corrosion, which translates into longer trouble-free operation.

Construction and installation

The anode is equipped with a brass cap with a 5/4 inch thread, which facilitates its installation and replacement. Brass is a corrosion-resistant material, so this connection is durable and reliable. The GALMET anode with dimensions 33x250 mm and a 5/4" cap is designed to work with SGW(L) 120l, 140l, SGW(L)x2 120l, 140l, SGW(L)P 120l, 140l and EasyAir 2GT 200l, 250l tanks. It will work both in new installations and as a replacement element in existing systems.
