Safety in Your Home – Gas Sensor DK-12
The DK-12 gas sensor is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of natural gas (methane) in residential and commercial premises. Its task is to detect potential hazards early, allowing for a quick response and minimizing the risk of dangerous situations. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, boiler rooms, garages, and rooms with gas installations.
Functionality and Application
The DK-12 detector is designed with the safety of home users in mind. It monitors the concentration of methane in the air and, when the permissible threshold is exceeded (15% Lower Explosive Limit – LEL), activates both optical and acoustic signaling. Additionally, it has an output allowing connection of an external alarm siren, which increases the effectiveness of warning in case of danger. The device is particularly useful where there is a risk of gas leakage, e.g. near gas stoves, furnaces, boilers or gas installations.
- Wide range of applications: boiler rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements with gas installation, rooms with fireplaces.
- Early warning: quick reaction to the detection of dangerous methane concentration.
- Expandability: output for connecting an external alarm siren to increase warning effectiveness.
- Simple operation: intuitive operation and easy installation.
- Reliability: the detector is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
Construction and Mounting
The DK-12 sensor is a compact device with dimensions of 85 x 140 x 55 mm, powered by 230V~. Mounting is simple and does not require specialized knowledge – just place it on the wall in a suitable place (preferably in the upper part of the room, near a potential leak source). Remember that natural gas is lighter than air and accumulates in the upper parts of rooms. The detector has a replaceable sensor module, which ensures low operating costs and long device life.
The sensor is powered directly from the 230V~ mains. The manufacturer recommends permanently connecting the power cord to the electrical installation in the distribution box to ensure stable operation. The device has a 3-year manufacturer's warranty from GAZEX.
