Geberit HDPE Drainage System – durability and corrosion resistance

Geberit HDPE collar cap is an element of a drainage system designed for draining water from buildings, roof drainage and industrial applications. Made of plastic-coated steel, it provides a durable and tight seal for 75 mm diameter pipes. The Geberit HDPE system is characterized by high chemical resistance – it withstands the action of most standard bases, acids and chemicals (approx. 95%), making it an ideal solution in demanding environments. Additionally, the material is UV resistant, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors.

Construction and application

The cap is designed to close the ends of pipes in the Geberit HDPE drainage system. Its steel construction, coated with a layer of plastic, ensures mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The connection length is 12 mm, and the nominal diameter is DN 70, which guarantees compatibility with pipes with an outer diameter of 75 mm. The possibility of use in underground, concreted and surface installations makes it a universal installation element.

Installation and properties

The cap is installed by butt welding or using electrofusion fittings – methods requiring the use of specialized machines and tools. This ensures an exceptionally durable and tight connection. It is worth remembering that the Geberit HDPE system is characterized by high resistance to shocks, drops and short-term pressure, which translates into a long service life of the installation. The use of this cap provides effective protection of the installation against moisture and external damage.
