Electrofusion fitting (welding saddle) HDPE 250, black color (HDPE drainage) 371.775.16.1
Electrofusion fitting PEHD 250 – a reliable connection in the drainage system
This electrofusion fitting, made of high-density polyethylene (PEHD), is designed for connecting drainage pipes with a diameter of 250 mm. It is a key element of the Geberit HDPE system, providing durable and tight connections in various applications – from draining water from buildings to industrial installations. Its black color facilitates identification and integration with the remaining elements of the system.
This fitting, with a length of 150 mm and a nominal diameter of DN 250, is characterized by a simple construction, ideal for electrofusion welding. Made of PE-80, it provides high resistance to mechanical and chemical damage. The use of PE material also guarantees resistance to UV radiation, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors.
Construction and practical application
The electrofusion fitting is an element connecting PEHD pipes using the electrofusion welding process. This process involves generating heat at the point of contact between the pipes and the fitting using electrical resistance, resulting in a permanent connection. Thanks to this, the connection is as strong as the pipe material itself. The fitting has smooth inner surfaces, minimizing flow losses and preventing the accumulation of dirt.
The Geberit HDPE system, in which this fitting is located, is extremely versatile. It can be used in:
Draining water from buildings – both in gravity and vacuum systems.
Roof drainage – both conventional and vacuum.
Ground drainage – ideal for drainage systems.
Industrial applications – chemical resistance allows use in harsh conditions.
Laying in concrete – the Geberit HDPE system is adapted for this type of installation.
Additionally, the PE-80 material exhibits high resistance to most standard alkalis, acids and chemical substances (approximately 95%), making it an ideal choice for installations exposed to contact with aggressive environments. The material's strength also allows the pipes to be laid directly in the ground or concrete without fear of mechanical damage.
