Geberit HDPE Drainage System – Reliability and Durability

The HDPE elbow 63/45° is an element of the Geberit HDPE drainage system, designed to create 45-degree connections in wastewater drainage installations. Made of high-density polyethylene (PE-80), it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation in various conditions. Universal application and chemical resistance

The Geberit HDPE system is exceptionally versatile. It can be used for draining water from buildings, roof drainage (both gravity and vacuum), in industry, commercial facilities or laboratories. These fittings are also perfect for laying installations in the ground, concrete or on bridges. Polyethylene is characterized by high chemical resistance – it withstands contact with approx. 95% of standard alkalis, acids and chemicals. In addition, the material is resistant to UV radiation, which allows for longer outdoor storage of pipes and fittings.

Installation and structural properties

The elbow is made of polyethylene (PE) of the PE-80 grade with a wall thickness of 3 mm. It has plastic sockets designed for welding/buttwelding, which ensures a tight and durable connection. The outer diameter of the connecting pipe is 63 mm (DN 60). Thanks to its construction and material properties, the elbow is resistant to shocks, drops and short-term pressure – it does not crack or undergo permanent deformation. Installation is carried out by butt welding or using electrofusion fittings – this requires the use of appropriate machines and tools.
