PEHD reducing socket 56x50 with lip seal, black color (HDPE drainage) 361.752.16.3

Solid connection in the sewage system – Geberit HDPE reducing socket

This reducing socket, made of durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), is a reliable element of the Geberit sewage system. It is used to connect pipes of different diameters – 56 mm and 50 mm – ensuring a tight and durable connection. It is ideal for both internal and external installations where resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage is required.

A key feature of this element is the built-in lip seal, which guarantees a hermetic connection, eliminating the risk of leaks. The black color of the socket increases its resistance to UV radiation, allowing it to be used in installations exposed to direct sunlight.

This socket is compatible with the Geberit HDPE system, which is characterized by exceptional chemical resistance. This allows it to be safely used in industrial, laboratory and commercial facilities where aggressive chemicals are present. The system is resistant to approximately 95% of standard bases and acids.

Application and installation

The Geberit HDPE reducing socket is used in:

  • Drainage of water from buildings
  • Roof drainage (gravity and vacuum)
  • Ground drainage
  • Industrial installations
  • Laying in concrete

The socket is installed by butt welding or using electrofusion fittings – appropriate machines and tools are required. The use of this type of connection ensures the durability and tightness of the installation for years.

Durability and safety

The Geberit HDPE system is characterized by high resistance to:

  • UV radiation – the polyethylene contains additives protecting against degradation caused by the sun.
  • Mechanical damage – the material is resistant to impacts, drops and shocks.
  • Chemicals – high resistance to acids and bases.

Thanks to these properties, the Geberit HDPE reducing socket is an investment in a safe and long-lasting sewage installation. This is particularly important when laying pipes in concrete, where they are exposed to mechanical loads.
