The Grundfos MAGNA3 80-120 F 360 is an advanced device designed for circulating water in heating and cooling systems, both in residential and commercial buildings. It is characterized by high energy efficiency thanks to the integrated, intelligent controller, which automatically adjusts performance to the current needs of the installation. This solution allows for significant energy savings and noise reduction in the system.

Design and functionality

The MAGNA3 pump is designed for ease of installation and operation. It is equipped with a 1.496 kW motor and provides a nominal flow rate of 37.41 m³/h at a head of 95.98 kPa. The pump body is made of cast iron (GG 25), which guarantees durability and corrosion resistance. Thanks to the use of characteristic C, the pump copes well with starting devices with a motor, reacting more slowly to short current surges. The built-in controller enables stepless speed control, ensuring optimal adaptation to working conditions.

Communication and control

One of the key features of the MAGNA3 pump is its versatility in terms of communication. It supports PROFIBUS, RS-485, EtherNet/IP, Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP and LON/LONWorks protocols, enabling integration with various building automation systems (BMS). Additionally, it has 0-10 V / 2-10 V and 0-20 mA / 4-20 mA interface signals for external control. The integrated radio interface allows communication with the Grundfos GO application and other MAGNA3 pumps of the same type. The AutoAdapt function automatically adjusts the pump operating parameters to changing conditions in the installation, and AutoAdapt PLUS monitors and responds to changes in the system to maintain optimal efficiency. It is worth noting the possibility of flow limitation (FLOW LIMIT) to prevent exceeding the nominal value without the need for additional throttling valves.
