This Grundfos SQ3-40 multistage submersible pump is a reliable solution for supplying water to single-family homes, as well as for pumping water to tanks and irrigation systems. Its design based on floating impellers, with ceramic or carbide bearings, allows for efficient pumping even of water containing sand – up to 50g/m³. Therefore, it does not require the use of an additional protective pipe, which simplifies installation and reduces costs.

The pump is equipped with advanced motor electronics that provide a smooth start, protecting both the pump and the electrical network from overvoltage. Additional protections include dry-run protection, upthrust (buoyancy), over and under voltage, and overheating. The single-phase motor with permanent magnets guarantees optimal efficiency over a wide load range. A built-in check valve prevents water from flowing back after the pump is switched off.

Construction and application

Made entirely of stainless steel (AISI 304 body), the SQ3-40 pump is characterized by durability and corrosion resistance. The motor has a replaceable cable plug, which facilitates replacement in case of damage. The pump is suitable for installation both vertically and horizontally – however, it is important to maintain a horizontal position of the pump shaft. Thanks to its compact size (diameter 74 mm), it can be installed in openings with a minimum diameter of 76 mm.

The pump finds application in:

• Supplying single-family homes with water from wells or tanks.
• Irrigation systems for gardens and agricultural crops.
• Lowering the level of groundwater.
• Water supply and hydro-pressure systems.

• Power supply: The pump operates at a voltage of 200-240 V and a frequency of 60 Hz, drawing a current of 5.2 A. The motor power is 0.7 kW.
• Material: The pump body is made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301), which provides long-term protection against corrosion.
• Cable length: It is equipped with a 1.5 m long cable, which allows for flexible connection to the power supply (possibility of extension).
• Protection class: The IP68 degree of protection guarantees complete protection against immersion and dust, allowing the pump to operate in harsh environmental conditions.
• Connection: It has an internal BSPP-G threaded connection with a diameter of 1 ¼ inch (32 mm).
