Automatic 4‑pole power switch 2500 A HIC494G
Automatic power transfer switch 4P 2500A – solution for critical power circuits
The device functions as an automatic reversal transfer switch between two power sources, providing uninterrupted power supply – ideal for facilities where power loss is unacceptable. A built‑in motor drive enables unattended switching in the event of a network failure, and a locking mechanism prevents accidental or unauthorized operation.
It has four poles and is designed for operation on 380–415 V AC systems, with a continuous current rating of 2500 A. It can be used as a main disconnect, safety disconnect, and maintenance disconnect – meaning it meets safety requirements during maintenance or fault conditions. It is not an emergency stop, so it is not intended for manual disconnection during sudden incidents – its role is automatic switching.
The making capacity at 400 V is 1645 kW, and the short‑circuit current withstand is 78 kA, making it suitable for high‑power installations such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities. Rated operating power at 400 V is 720 kW (AC-21) and 1645 kW (AC-23), allowing control of large motor‑type loads.
Installation is permanent – the device is intended for mounting in distribution panels. It is not compatible with DIN rails or front mounting. Main contacts are connected via cable lugs – there is no provision for busbars or rigid conductors. An IP00 protection rating means there is no protection against touch or dust – it must be installed in a closed panel.
Two normally closed auxiliary contacts are available – they allow signaling the switch status (e.g., “source A active” or “transfer completed”) to SCADA systems or control panels. The absence of normally open and switching contacts means a simple signaling configuration.
There is no optional voltage trigger or motor drive as an add‑on – the drive is fixed and built‑in. The device is not suitable for intermediate mounting or in 4‑hole panels – it must be mounted directly on the mounting plate inside the distribution board.
All functions are designed in accordance with safety standards for high‑power electrical installation equipment. It does not require maintenance more frequent than standard installation inspections – its stationary construction and lack of moving parts aside from the drive ensure reliable operation for years.
