Modular contactor for various applications

The Hager ESC428 contactor is a four-pole device designed to control electrical circuits. A rated operating current of 25A and a coil voltage of 230V AC make it a versatile element that can be used in both home and commercial installations. The contactor design allows for mounting on a DIN rail using screw terminals, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

Functionality and flexibility

The device offers three operating modes – constant engagement, automatic, and constant disengagement – which increases its functionality in various applications. It has three normally open (NO) and one normally closed (NC) contacts, providing flexibility in configuring control circuits. The possibility of additional accessories expands the range of applications for the contactor. Additionally, the quiet operation of the device makes it an ideal solution for residential construction.

The ESC428 contactor is characterized by high reliability and durability. It withstands up to 30,000 electrical switching cycles and as many as 1,000,000 mechanical cycles. The IP2X degree of protection provides basic protection against touch and ingress of solid objects. The rated insulation voltage is 440V, and the impulse voltage is 4kV, which guarantees safe use. The device is designed to operate at a frequency of 50Hz and a rated voltage of 400V AC. The maximum switching capacity for incandescent lamps is 1900W, and for fluorescent lamps – up to 1990VA (with DUO compensation).

The contactor has a rated operating current of 25A, a rated control voltage in the range of 230...230V, one normally open contact and three normally closed contacts. Its mounting depth is 60 mm, and the maximum switching capacity for incandescent lamps is 1900W. For fluorescent lamps, the maximum capacity is up to 1990VA.

Thanks to the low power consumption (3.4 VA) and contact power loss (1.5 W), the ESC428 contactor contributes to the efficient use of electrical energy. This is particularly important in day/night tariff installations, where optimizing energy consumption is crucial.
