Functionality and application

The SBN116 switch is used in both domestic and industrial installations. It allows for safe disconnection of the receiver from the power supply, which is essential during any work on the electrical installation. With a rated current of 16A and a voltage of 230V AC, it is ideal for lighting circuits, socket circuits or powering individual devices. The short-circuit strength of 0.24 kA provides protection against the effects of overloads and short circuits.

Construction and characteristic features

The switch is characterized by a solid construction and high quality workmanship. The screw terminal ensures a secure connection of wires with a cross-section from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (rigid) and from 1.5 mm² to 10 mm² (flexible). The degree of protection IP20 protects against accidental contact and the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The color coding of the lever facilitates visual identification of the switch status (on/off), which increases work safety. Additionally, the device is adapted to operate in a wide temperature range – from -20°C to +70°C – which makes it reliable in various environmental conditions.
