Overcurrent switch – reliable installation protection

This single-pole overcurrent switch from Hager's MCS series is a key element in protecting electrical installations. Designed to protect circuits from overload and short circuit, it ensures safe use and long-term reliability. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA (at 230V) guarantees an effective response in emergency situations. Characteristic C makes it ideal for circuits with devices generating surge currents, such as motors or transformers – it allows it to react more slowly to short current spikes, while ensuring rapid intervention in the event of an overload.

Quick and easy installation with QuickConnect

The MCS110 switch uses QuickConnect technology, which significantly speeds up and simplifies installation. This system eliminates the need for traditional screw connections, allowing for quick and safe connection of wires by plugging them in. This saves time for both the installer and the end user during any device replacement. Additionally, the rear BiConnect terminal with screw fixing protects against incorrect wiring, and the front BiConnect terminal of the QuickConnect plug-in system enables easy connection to the phase busbar.

This switch is designed to operate in installations with a rated voltage of 400V and a frequency of 50-60Hz. Its compact dimensions (83.4 x 17.5 x 70 mm) and 1 module width allow for efficient use of space in the distribution board. Designed for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail, it complies with IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC/EN 60947-2 standards. It can be used to protect circuits with a rated current of 10A in residential and commercial buildings. Thanks to energy limitation class 3 and surge category 3, it provides high resistance to interference. The possibility of connecting single-wire conductors with a cross-section of 1-35 mm² and multi-wire conductors with a cross-section of 1-25 mm² provides great flexibility during installation.
