This device is not a regular switch – it is a key protective element in central distribution points where reliability and clear visibility of the state are required. It is designed for front mounting in distribution boards, where its open construction allows quick visual inspection of the contact status – whether they are open or closed. It has no enclosure, thus no unnecessary barriers between the installation and the operator.

It has one purpose: to provide safe, manual disconnection of a circuit under load – both during normal operation and maintenance. It is a main disconnect and a service disconnect compliant with EN 60947‑3 (60947-3), meaning it meets safety requirements for operation on voltage lines up to 690 V AC. A continuous current rating of 1000 A allows it to operate reliably in installations with large loads – e.g., powering transformers, motors, or HVAC systems.

Its short‑circuit withstand capability is 55 kA at up to 415 V – this value is tested and verified for short‑duration fault conditions (1 second).
