Draw-out air circuit breaker 1250A 3P HW1W312DS
Air‑break sliding disconnect switch 1250A 3P – solution for high‑demand installations
This device functions as a main, safety and maintenance disconnect – it is not an emergency stop, but provides physical disconnection of the circuit, which is crucial during service or maintenance work. Its sliding construction allows safe and easy disconnection of the device from power without having to dismantle the panel – the installer can pull it out on guides to access terminals or replace components.
The rated continuous current is 1250 A at a voltage up to 690 V AC, and the short‑time withstand current is 55 kA for 1 second. This means the device can handle large fault currents – it safely withstands short‑circuit currents in high‑power installations, e.g., circuits with motors, transformers or UPS systems.
An integrated motor drive enables automatic opening and closing of contacts – no manual operation is required. Additionally, an optional motor drive and voltage‑release trigger allow system expansion with remote‑control functions or loss‑of‑voltage protection. There are no auxiliary make‑or‑break contacts, but it includes 4 auxiliary switching contacts – ideal for signalling status (open/closed) in automation or SCADA systems.
The front‑face protection rating is IP2X – provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts, but is not sealed. Installation is intended for distribution boards: front central and intermediate – not suitable for 4‑hole panel mounting. The construction is designed for operation in temperatures from ‑25 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for both climate‑controlled rooms and harsh industrial environments.
Insulation voltage is 1000 V, and impulse voltage is 12 000 V – meeting requirements for medium and high voltage networks. Operation at 50–60 Hz is standard, and internal resistance (50 µΩ) ensures low power losses – at full load losses are about 187 W.
All this means that this disconnect not only complies with standards PN-EN 60947-3 and PN-EN 60947-2, but also serves as a stable power‑distribution point in large industrial and commercial installations. Its design allows easy service and integration with other elements of the hw+ system.
